Ron Caspert
Ronald M. Caspert
CAI, CEA – Principal

Ronny’s success as an Auctioneer has earned him an enviable reputation. Having the highest credentials an auctioneer can achieve and the vast experience of personally conducting thousands of public auction sales over 35 years, Ronny serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey State Society of Auctioneers. He is also a member of the National Auctioneers Association.

Ronny is also a highly skilled Appraiser, providing expert perspectives on asset valuations in assisting financial institutions, corporations and governmental agencies make informed and timely decisions. He is a long-standing member of the American Society of Appraisers and the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers from which he earned the designation of Certified Equipment Appraiser.

Ronny has been in the auction & appraisal business his entire life. As a teenager, Ronny was preparing inventories, equipment and machinery for his grandfather, founder Samuel Caspert and father, Herbert Caspert. Upon graduation from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Ronny continued his education at the prestigious Missouri School of Auctioneering and attained the designation of Certified Auctioneer at Indiana University’s Certified Auctioneers Institute.

Mitchell devoted 20 years to the supervision and administration of attorneys at two prominent New York City law firms. 15 years ago he brought his legal experience and education, business acumen and technology “know how” to the business he grew up in: the auction and appraisal business. Mitchell received his Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management and was awarded his Juris Doctor degree from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Turnaround Management Association, the National Auctioneers Association and the Syracuse University Northern New Jersey Alumni Club.

Mitchell prides himself on staying abreast of trends and developments in the law and technology. He’s often asked to present his views on the auction & appraisal business before financial panels, trade groups & other professional associations. In 2017, Mitchell was selected to serve on the Valuations of Business Assets and Collateral Panel at the Honorable William H. Gidin 19th Annual Bankruptcy Bench Bar Conference.

Mitchell has always pursued philanthropic endeavors’ and is a founding member of Project Bright Future, a children’s charitable organization. He has also served for many years as an Executive Committee Member on the Board of Directors of The Angelman Syndrome Foundation. Cerebral Palsy of North Jersey, The Friendship Circle, Livingston, New Jersey and The Hebrew Academy of Special Children, Brooklyn, have all benefited from Mitchell’s experienced input and fundraising efforts.

Vinny has over 45 years of experience in the auction, liquidation and appraisal business. Well respected by Bankruptcy Trustee’s, Attorneys & Other Financial Professionals, Vinny has been the President of Henry A. Leonard & Company, Inc., Professional Auctioneers & Appraisers for many years. His knowledgeable & friendly “auctioneering demeanor” makes him a most popular auctioneer.

We are pleased to benefit from Vinny’s ability to auction and appraise a wide variety of commodities from almost any business. Vinny is licensed by the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs and is a long standing member of the New York State Auctioneer’s Association and the National Auctioneer’s Association.

Charlie, a former professional machinist, has over 25 years of experience in the auction industry. Charlie’s expertise in the preparation of plant machinery, tools and equipment is a unique talent. His duties as an Auction Coordinator also include sale-day responsibilities, as well as post-auction dismantling & removal of industrial machinery and equipment from the auction site. Charlie has been a valued member of the Caspert team for almost 20 years.

Richie brings more than 45 years of experience auctioning and appraising a multitude of commodities. His collective experience and expertise ensures that our clients are in the most capable hands. Richie’s unique abilities, both on the Auction Podium and as a Professional Ringman, are legendary. He is known for developing solutions to the most extraordinary auction challenges. We are proud that Richie has been a valued member of the Caspert team for 30 years.

Marketing, Information Technology

Sam’s duties entail all-things Marketing as well as Information Technology (IT). He developed the new Caspert Website and supervises all social media activities, including our Website’s Interactive Blog, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Sam graduated from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland – College Park, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. He is the first 4th generation family member to work at Caspert Auctioneers & Appraisers.


Jason Caspert
Marketing, Business Development

Jason recently earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the Wisconsin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He is the second 4th generation family member to work at Caspert Auctioneers & Appraisers. Jason’s professional experiences and educational concentration in Marketing brings a fresh and unique understanding of SEO (search engine optimization) as he works closely with Sam to create and develop Auction Specific Marketing Strategies, Blog Posts, and eMail Blast campaigns for our clients. He is currently developing an internal enterprise solution to help streamline the auction & appraisal processes for our Principals and Auctioneers.

David D'Amico

David D’Amico has over 40 years of experience in the auction business. Specializing in Automotive Dealership Liquidation Auctions & Appraisals of New Car Dealership FF&E, (500+) in (36) States and Puerto Rico. David is currently a licensed Auctioneer in (9) contiguous States, from Florida to Pennsylvania, a USPAP compliant Appraiser, and longtime member of the National Auctioneers Association (NAA). He maintains a very active Appraisal schedule, as well as attending annual continuing-education classes for both the auction and appraisal fields. David received his Bachelor of Arts in Telecom / Business from Indiana University and recently earned the NAA designation of Auction Technology Specialist (ATS).

Bernie is a noted Professional Machinery and Equipment Appraiser. His well credentialed appraisals are designed to meet the varied needs of courts, insurance professionals and banking industry officials. Bernie serves as a Certified Senior Member on the Board of Governors of the American Society of Appraisers and the Board of Directors of the Appraisers Association of America. He is also a panelist at the American Arbitration Association. Bernie graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science in Business and was then awarded a Masters in Business Administration from Baruch School of City College of New York.
